Hey now! So, I'm finally getting around to making this post ... I've been playing on the server pretty much since TF2 came out. It's the interesting people, the fun environment, and welcoming community that keeps me coming back. And I would be honored to be officially part of it. About me: my real name is Evan (hence the obsession with the letter 'E'...) I'm 23, a graduate student (PhD program in computer science, UCLA), and living in West LA with my girlfriend and my cat. I consider northern CA my home and hope to go back once I graduate. I roomed with Earl and Zooms in college. I'm a huge nerd and consider the word itself to be a compliment. I love science and science fiction (reading and on the telly!), video games (of course), puns and wordplay, and adding parenthetical remarks to everything (if that wasn't already obvious (see, seriously, I have a problem (please help))). Although I am not a huge fan of sports (uhoh!), I am remarkably okay with the outdoors -- camping and hiking are cool with me, as are walking and running. I enjoy cooking and eating delicious food, hope one day to be an author, and when I retire I will own the coolest darn used book store you ever saw. In the mean time, I will do SCIENCE, teach, and of course own you all at TF2 . -- Evan / MonikerEpsilon / Gunther Clone E

Hey Now! Wait, you are not already in RH? Actually, it's great to see you post (finally) and to learn about your obsession with parentheticals (I have the same addiction). Anyway, you are more like family than a pub so I am shedding a little tear (Oh wait, that's my arm hurting ) What authors are you fond of with SF? I am always looking for some good reading material.

Hey Now Gunth...or MonikerEpsilon...
Glad to see you finally posting up looking to join this crazy group...I say it is about time. I, myself do not have a problem with parentheticals...I have a problem with the 3 little dots that break up nearly every one of my sentences...see? Anyhow, nice little bio you printed, however, while I was reading it I was hearing the dating game music playing in my head. Anyhow, good post and good luck in the future vote.

@Park: I'm a huge Asimov fan, especially the short stories. Lately I've reading a lot of Stanislaw Lem - despite its age (he hasn't written SF since the 70's) his work is surprisingly relevant today, and he has a wonderfully wry sense of humor. I also highly recommend the Escape Pod SF podcast (great for commutes). @Jinx: I also like sunsets and long walks on the beach @Dom: I went to school there and LOVED IT (but no I'm actually from much further north than there)

Z, it was pretty much a 24/7 pillow fight But yeah, since Gunther Clones is a clan I can't expect to join RH with that name. Since Epsilon is the Greek letter 'E' I thought it an appropriate tie to my old name. There's also an advanced mathematical interpretation to it. But mostly I thought it sounded cool

He's practically from Oregon. And epsilon has many meanings: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epsilon#SymbolI like the "empty string" meaning.

I saw this MonikerEpsilon guy on the server and thought his play style was suspiciously-similar to Gunther's. And now I find out it's Gunther. Hey Now, glad to see you posting for recruitment Gunther! I don't have any problem with you using your Gunther Clone E name if you really want it (not sure if the Gunther guys would though). I'm sure we'll all still call you Gunther anyways.

@Al: (indifferent-towards(LISP me)) @Carl: Glad you noticed, good to know I am so distinct. I think it's time I made a name for myself and become more than just a clone and a letter @FUBAR: Sorry, all sales are final

Hey Gunther, I mean.... E! I thought you were against RH affiliation since you didn't try to join after so many years. For a couple days I was getting pretty pissed at this new scout, MonikerEpsilon, killing me while I was medic. But as Carl said, I noticed the play style was very Gunthery, and the obession with anything E related, so I looked you up on the stats and sure enough.
I live in Hollywood right now, and was recently at UCLA for the TMBG concert. We should have lunch sometime! Funny that you are here for college, whereas I'm from SoCal and went to Chico State.

Parkmad wrote: Really? Haven't been to a concert in a while, but I have probably seen them a dozen times. How was it? It was great. They performed Flood in it entirety, with a mix of other songs, and they performed Fingertips, the 20 short songs all in a row . The 3 planned encores was a bit much, but it was still a great show! It was only a bit ruined by a really loud girl behind me singing all the songs into my ear. This was my first time seeing them. A dozen times, Park? Damn! Hey Gunther, how weird is it that we've been calling you that when it was just your clan tag? That's like one of us playing on another server and being called Renegade, and having to respond to that.

Who is this uppity ethan kid? Man, my memory goes back months and I don't recall ever seeing him on the server. Admins will have to watch out for that knucklehead. Maybe we'll see him on Spring Break and figure out who he is. He shouldn't bad talk the regulars though.
