The UGC Highlander Tournament Scrim Thread

We might want to get a new scrim for Thursday, as we're facing Axl-Ffu for the match on Monday...

What are we going to learn when we scrim vs BRB,U? Record demos and look at tactics! (yes I know they can possibly read this)

Pay attention to where your class on the opposite team likes to go and where they shoot from. Al, pay attention to where they put their gun. We're going to need to practice without a scrim though. I feel like we should load up the map, take sides, and NOT fight, but understand what happens when the enemy sees us coming, and sees our sentry/tele placement. Teles are less important on this map since spawn is relatively near, but it doesn't mean they wont be useful.

Thursday: =EGC= @ 7pm pst
Friday: BRB,U @ 7pm pst
Saturday: DTT @ 7pm pst
Sunday: Dubel's actual starting team @ 6pm pst

Just noticed this update on the main highlander page, not really concerned about the weapons, but the unusual hats rule is something for all of us to take note on.

Hello UGC friends, I want to play a game with you! This week's map is koth_sawmill. When playing any koth map use the standard config "ugc_HL_standard.cfg". Koth maps run for 2 rounds and the game is over when one team wins 4 total caps or the time expires. So play hard and get that point. My prediction this week is for the saw.

Weapon Rules Update!
The newest weapons released are now allowed:
Sharpened Volcano Fragment
Sun-on-a-Stick
Fan O'War
Concheror
Half-Zatoichi
Conniver's Kunai

Unusual Hats Disallowed
The unusual hats are no longer allowed in competition, due to the lack of effects shown on disguised spies.. More power to the spy!

Item Sets
Our rule excluding full Item Set Bonus remains in effect, do not use the hats for sets with hats, and leave out one item for sets with no hats.

If you see a player in a match with a restricted item or hat, please inform him immediately, so he can change it without impacting the match.

Sportsmanship
Can't we all be friends? Probably not but please refrain from trash talking your opponent in a match. We value our teams and want them to play so please save your trolling for the girls on the playground.

whoever plays soldier i suggest you harass them from the roof near their entrance to the middle... just dont get sniped keep movin u can also rjump over the wall and ambush their medic.

also, spawn camping their lighter classes (scout, medic, engi, etc.) helps buy time at middle. during the scrim i held 3 of their classes in spawn causing them to move the heavy back to spawn

Just set a scrim against Malent's team tomorrow, Thursday at 7:45 PM PST. See you there!

I've been battling some acute bronchitis or something. If you can run SourceTV I'd like to watch. I know it's just a scrim, but you can count me as a sub if need be. I'd rather just sit back and judge you guys from the side lines though.

Just giving a heads up...since I have started teaching Martial Arts again, I will not be available on most Mondays and Thursdays. I can scrim to help you guys get practice and if the competition day is Sunday or another day, I can be part of that...however, I will have to be more of an alternate for now.

I think you need to take me off the active roster. My schedule is so full the next few weeks, I doubt I can make the matches much less scrims every night.
