Hello RH and RH forumers, I came up with the plan to destroy Monoculus while he spawns. I've already got a line up of RH regulars who want to participate. If you want in on this spectacular moment in history, be around Saturday night, probably at around midnight (that's the time between Saturday and Sunday), or as some might say, Saturday, 2300 hours. The plan is to record a replay of us placing hundreds of stickies on the point and right when Monoculus spawns, hit taunt, and detonate the stickies while he's still rising out of the ground. If all goes well, he'll die before he ever leaves the ground.
Why do this? Why not! Contact me on Steam if you wish to know more! So far, no one has done this yet, and this can be some good advertising for the server, if you really need more reason. One hit from 14 Scottish Resistance stickies takes off about 1/8th of his life, maybe more now that he spawns with less HP. We need a minimum of 10 people to get him to spawn anyway, so let's password-protect the server just for a few minutes, get 10 folks in there, and all blow up that darn eyeball!
Concerns: since Sco-Res stickies can destroy and regular stickies can push other stickies away, I say we turn off auto team balance also and just all join one team if we can't get it to work with even teams.
Edit: I just read the Friday Night Fights posts. We coudl do this earlier if there are enough people cooperating. Pubs will be tough to handle though, which is why I suggested locking the server for just a few minutes while we do this.

We ran into a snag tonight. It seems the latest patch may have also made doing this impossible. If stickies touch monoculus, they are destroyed. So we might still be able to hurt him, but it won't be easy. I'll try to test it later and see if it's still doable.

Also, how about having a couple kritz medics to get that little extra oomph on the stickies? Tentatively in if I'm home from work in time.

I tested it on my own server, alone, with cheats enabled to force spawn Monoculus. Placed stickies right on the point and he didn't destroy my stickies when he spawned. I'm not sure it'll work, but I think we should give it a shot. I managed to take a chunk of his life right when he spawned.
As for Earl's plan of putting stickies above the point (stuck to the underside of the bridge), that's no good. The bridge is actually much higher than Monoculus. Even if it looks close, it's not. I spawned him several times, and the stickies were never able to do any damage to him.

It took some doin' and learnin' but it was cool. It's weird bumping into people on the map and not trying to kill them.
Ok, what was up with Moniker and gift drops? Seriously?

Most above ground gift drops appear near the point. Most people run away from the point when looking for the gift. Granted, Moniker happened to be on the correct side of the map most of the time, but he found it fair and square. For the first 10-15 gift drops on the first couple days, I had never even seen a gift drop. There's a bit of knowledge and a bit of luck involved.
