Tue Sep 09, 2025 9:09 pm

Hope everyone is doing well. Jon Bois at Secret Base is back with a four part series going over the history of scorigami in the NFL. Scorigami is the art of achieving a final score in an NFL game that has never happened before. Jon Bois invented the term when he released this video on December 7, 2016:

This four part series is going over blocks of NFL history going over interesting scorigami scores. Part 1 goes over the time period of 1920 through 1959:

Part 2: 1960 - 1993 : The dark lore of the two-point conversion

The AFL, founded in 1960, was special for many reasons. One was its willingness to do what the NFL wouldn’t and adopt the two-point conversion, which allowed pro teams to score in chunks of eight for the first time. This, of course, changed the mathematics of scorigami forever. So where did the AFL come from? Well, uh … how much do you know about 1930s Texas oil prospecting?
