As I am about to turn 51, it occurred to me how much as changed, and stayed the same over the years...
What has stayed the same, still married to the most WONDERful WOMAN I know. She is a continued amazing and is more than half way through her probationary period as the Asst Fire Chief of District 4 in Mason County. This November her job will become permanent and we will FINALLY be able to build our own home.
Both my boys have continued to grow and have started finalizing what they want to do.
The eldest (17 y/o Nic) want to just finish HS, then go to a trade school in AZ that will grad in 2 years and he will then be a certified ASE Auto Mechanic. We have also agreed that if he can get out of HS with decent grades, we will pay for his rally race school so he can learn how to rally race. The trade school will get him the skills to make money/work on cars and the racing school will give him what he needs to enter the rally race world.
The youngest (12 y/o John, whom some of you played with in our old TF2 server) has decided upon being a Neurosurgeon, though lately he has been VERY excited about learning how to Cook. So...who knows...we might have a future MD in the family or a Chef. I have also joined us (John and I) up with an actual MMA School (Shaolin Mixed Martial Arts) and we just got our first stripes after a 3.5 hour test. Always fun to learn more/new Martial Arts. This one teaches JKD/Kali, Shoot Wrestling/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muai Thai, and Boxing. Overall a GOOD WORKOUT and just plain fun.
As for myself...about to turn 17 x 3 years in age...I have finally taken losing weight seriously and in the last 5 weeks, I have lost 30 lbs and am now below 200 lbs for the first time in over a year. Final goal is ~165 and at ~16% body fat or less. Don't really have a timeline to do this by, just want to get it done. I think/know that if I can there the pain in my knees/feet and lower back will be lessened.
I have started watching vids for the start of a new hobby and hopefully will have something to show within the year...who knows though...we all have false starts when starting anything new.
