I saw Tuskegee Airmen a few years ago and was impressed by the story - can't wait to see how they tell this one!

went and saw this one tonight... very disappointed.

movie was way too long, or at least seemed that way the way it dragged on. it just seemed like it couldn't decide what it was going to be about.

black airmen overcoming racism? started down that path, but never fleshed any of it out.

action movie? a bit of action, but mostly a ton of talking. the action could have been fantastic (it looked good), but was way too short.

brotherhood of soldiers? introduce you to several characters, then never resolve the issues they have with each other.

oh, and so many pointless side plots that have either no ending, or cliched, out of nowhere endings.

even the acting was bad. so disappointing.

Everytime I heard the part of the commercial where they chant,

Today We fight
We Fight
We Fight
We Fight

I couldn't help but think it sounded exactly like a black inner city high school football chant.

not just an inner city football chant, but certainly a modern one. not something I would expect in 1945.

Was starting to get a disappointed vibe as I saw more trailers...and the chant did nothing for me. Took me out of '45 and made me wonder what era the movie thought it was in. I can wait for the Blu-Ray...

I also saw it last night, and completely agree with Ashman. What action they did have was good, but the acting was not very good.

Sorry to hear all the bad reviews, guess I'll wait for it to come out on NetFlix or somewhere...
I really enjoyed the 1995 movie, and was puzzled why they remade the story so quickly.

Yep - that's the one I saw and greatly enjoyed. Well done, entertaining and educational to us youngsters...
