and they found him in a city full of top military men of Pakistan. Retired generals, living next door to him, and yet it took 5 years to locate him there? I guess we got his son also. It was a long time coming. A little bit of justice for all of his victims. |

The individual personally planned and orchestrated a number of attacks on Americans both in the US and abroad in addition to attacks on our allies. For that, he was justifiably targeted for capture or assassination which, despite taking 10 years to get done, we were patient and professional enough to deliver on. We don't arrest murderers on the thought that it will stop all murders. Just on the thought that it will stop that specific person from posing a threat in the future. That, in Bin Laden's case, we have achieved. |

"Stopping the war" was something I read somewhere last night, and it brought up in my mind: would his death help the war, or worsen it? Granted he was the mastermind of the worst Terrorist attacks so far, and his death shows other Terrorists who might be planning something, that they will be found and justice will be served. No matter if it is a year, 10, or 50 years. They will pay! (Though most are not worried about dying, for their cause.) |
